Rhythia
Rhythia is a game about aiming and hitting musical beats with precision timing, within a dynamic 3x3 grid system. Use your reflexes to target flying blocks, combine accurate aim with perfect rhythm, and finally master the leaderboards against players who challenge your precision skills.
Rhythia runs excellently on Apple Silicon via CrossOver or Whisky because the Godot engine is highly efficient, though a native compiled version is the gold standard for latency.
What the world thinks
- Download CrossOver 24+: This provides the best translation for the Vulkan/OpenGL runner used by Godot.
- Create a New Bottle: Select 'Windows 10 64-bit'.
- Install the Game: Download the latest
.ziprelease from the Rhythia GitHub repository, extract it into your bottle's drive C:, and run the.exe. - Audio Settings: In the game settings, ensure 'Audio Latency' is set to 'Low'. For rhythm games, any delay is fatal to the experience.
- Whisky (Free): You can use the Whisky app (an easy-to-use GPTK wrapper) to run the Windows executable. Enable 'MSync' for better CPU timing, which is critical for rhythm precision.
- Native Build (Advanced): Since the source code is open, users with development experience can clone the repository and export a native macOS
.appusing the Godot 3.x editor. This results in the lowest latency but requires technical setup.
Rhythia runs excellently on Apple Silicon via CrossOver or Whisky because the Godot engine is highly efficient, though a native compiled version is the gold standard for latency.
