Persona5: The Phantom X

“We’re the Phantom Thieves, and we’re here to steal your heart!” The beloved RPG series with over 27 million copies sold finally arrives on PC and mobile!

While technically 'Unsupported' officially, the game can be forced to run via Parallels, though using PlayCover to run the mobile version natively is significantly more performant.

What the world thinks

  1. Install Parallels Desktop: Ensure you are using the latest version (v19 or v20).
  2. Setup Windows 11 on ARM: Create a new virtual machine and let Parallels download and install the ARM version of Windows 11.
  3. Allocate Resources: Assign at least 4-6 CPU cores and 8GB-16GB of RAM to the VM for smooth operation. Ensure 'Gaming' mode is selected in the VM configuration.
  4. Download the Official Client: Visit the official P5X website (usually the Chinese or Korean regional sites) and download the PC Launcher.
  5. Install and Run: Follow the installation prompts. Note that the game requires a persistent login and often a region-specific account (WeChat/QQ or local mobile number).
  • PlayCover / Sideloading (Recommended): Since P5X is natively a mobile game, using PlayCover to run the iOS .ipa file is the most efficient method. This bypasses the heavy overhead of Windows virtualization and uses the M-series chip's native ARM compatibility. You will need a decrypted .ipa file and manual keyboard mapping within PlayCover.
  • CrossOver: Currently non-functional due to the specific anti-cheat drivers required by the PC client, which do not initialize correctly under Wine/GPTK.
