What the world thinks
Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud)
Included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This is the easiest method if you don't want to buy the game separately.
- How: Visit xbox.com/play in Safari or Chrome, sign in, and connect a controller.
- Constraint: You must use a controller; keyboard and mouse are not natively supported for cloud streaming on this title.
Parallels Desktop
While Parallels can technically boot the game, performance on most M1/M2/M3 chips is sub-par due to the heavy overhead of Windows 11 virtualization and DirectX 12 translation. This is NOT recommended for a smooth experience.

How to run Forza Horizon 5 on Mac with Boosteroid
Good· StreamingStreaming Forza Horizon 5 through Boosteroid is the fastest way to start playing on a Mac — there's nothing to install, no Windows VM, no compatibility layer. The game runs on a remote GPU and your Mac just receives the video, which means even a base M1 MacBook Air can play the most demanding AAA titles at high settings. The tradeoff is that you need a stable internet connection (ideally wired or 5GHz Wi-Fi with 25+ Mbps down) and a subscription.
Step-by-step
- Create a Boosteroid account and pick a plan.
- Use the web client or download the macOS app.
- Add Forza Horizon 5 from their library (you'll need to own it on Steam/Epic).
