Braid
This is the original version of Braid from 2009, which may not work well on newer systems. For an updated version of the game with nicer graphics, more levels and a large amount of developer commentary, see Braid, Anniversary Edition.
Braid is best experienced via the Anniversary Edition, which is a native Apple Silicon app providing perfect 4K performance and modern controller support.
What the world thinks
- Steam Console/Depot: If you have the original version, it will likely be greyed out. You must use the Anniversary Edition to play on modern macOS.
- CrossOver / Whiskey: You can run the Windows version of the original Braid using CrossOver or Whiskey (D3DMetal/DXVK). However, since the Anniversary Edition is native, this is generally unnecessary unless you are specifically testing the legacy build.
